What's in store for business podcasters in 2026 đź‘€

Hi, Reader.

Welcome to Podcasting in Professional Services. Each week, I share podcasting research, trends, and examples. Let's dive in 👇

Top opportunities for business podcasters in 2026

More than 70+ hosts and 60+ listeners have filled out our business podcast survey. We are keeping it open for one last week before we analyze the data and finalize the report.

If you haven't already taken the survey, participate here and get exclusive access to the full report.

Today, we're taking a look at the top opportunities for business podcasters to grow their show in 2026. We asked participants:

"In your mind, what are the opportunities for you to grow your show in 2026?"

Here are the top 3 opportunities—as identified by business podcasters—for podcast growth in 2026:

  1. Doing more guest interviews on other podcasts. What's the best way to grow your audience of podcast listeners? Be a guest on a different show with a similar, relevant audience profile.

  2. Repurposing episode content in new ways. Not all of your target clients listen to podcasts. Using the podcast media as a source, you have an opportunity to repackage episodes into other formats, like blog posts, case stories, LinkedIn posts, and more.

  3. Increasing the volume of clips on social media. Before buyers can trust you, they need to like you. Before they can like you, they need to become familiar with you. Increasing the volume of clips on social media increases touch points with prospective buyers, increasing familiarity, which accelerates trust-building.

More insights coming soon.

🎧 Want to participate? Whether you host or listen to business podcasts, take our 5-minute survey today before we close it next week to finalize the report.

And now for some examples of recent podcast episodes from the Red Cedar network of shows:

Breaking BizDev: 8 Elements of Sales Choreography to Turn a 'Maybe' Into a 'Yes'

Sales doesn’t move in straight lines—and treating it like a rigid process is one of the fastest ways to stall deals.

Rather than focusing on stages and checklists, this conversation between Mark Wainwright and John Tyreman breaks down the behaviors that consistently move opportunities from “maybe” to contract.

Ground Transportation: The Best Moments of 2025

In this year-in-review episode, Ken Lucci and James Blain are joined by executive producer John Tyreman to look back at the moments, conversations, and insights that defined 2025 in the ground transportation industry.

From powerful guest interviews and unforgettable origin stories to candid discussions about insurance challenges, safety culture, industry advocacy, and collaboration across transportation niches, this episode highlights what operators learned—and what lies ahead.
