๐ŸŽ™Is LinkedIn Cringe? + Busting Myths About Podcasting

Hi, Reader.

Welcome to Podcasting in Professional Servicesโ€”the newsletter for business podcasters.

Recently, I helped the team at Hinge Marketing launch their new podcast, Spiraling Up. It was a fun, full-circle moment.

Podcast Example: Spiraling Up

Podcasts in professional service industries can sometimes be a bit dull and dreary. Spiraling Up intends to change that.

In this brand-new podcast, each episode features a Pivotal Story about something noteworthy in the world of marketing and also a dynamic 'gameshow' style conversations with industry experts and marketing leaders.

Recently, I was a guest on Spiraling Up where I played "Marketing Mythbusters" with Austin, Joe, and Mary-Blanche. My goal? To bust up some common objections and unfounded beliefs in the business benefits of podcasting.

This podcast is very much video-first, but not at the expense of the audio experience. I am quite proud of the final product, and even if you're not thinking about podcasting, tune in to the segment about LinkedIn being cringe.

Enjoy!

Let's dive in ๐Ÿ‘‡ A History of Podcasting: From 1980s Radio Tech to Multi-Billion Dollar Industry Podcasting isnโ€™t a fad that will go away like Clubhouse or Threads. Hi, Reader. A week or so ago, I posted on LinkedIn about a content framework that has been coming into focus: the podcast marketing funnel. It sparked some thoughtful responses from marketers, podcast hosts, and firm leaders. Naturally, I wanted to take a moment to expand on the subject and some of the points people chimed in with. On the latest episode of...
